Delete your BYD Connect account

This page is for the BYD Connect app and website (bydconnect.com). It explains how to request that your account and associated data are deleted.

How to delete your account

1. Open BYD Connect and sign in with Google.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Deletion is immediate. There is no extra retention period after you confirm.

Data that is deleted

We delete your BYD Connect account and associated server data:

• Google account id, email, and name stored for BYD Connect
• Cars, trips, charges, places, charger kWh rates you reported, and synced settings
• Linked BYD username and encrypted BYD password (background DiLink polling stops)
• Encrypted command PIN and ABRP token, if you saved them
• Subscription and trial status on our servers

Data that is kept

• Local data on this device until you clear app/browser data or uninstall
• Your Google account (we cannot delete it)
• Your official BYD / DiLink account (we cannot delete it)
• Optional Google Drive backups in your own Drive — remove those from Google Drive if you want them gone

Delete some data without deleting your account

You can stay signed in and still remove:

• A car, including its trips and charges, from the car menu
• Individual charges from the charge details
• The linked BYD account via Settings → Unlink BYD account
• Local data on this device from Settings

If you cannot use the app

Email [email protected] from the Google address on the account and ask us to delete your BYD Connect account. We process that request without an extra holding period.
