BYD PHEV and Hybrid Efficiency Tracker
BYD Connect is not limited to battery-electric totals. For vehicles and trip data identified as hybrid, it separates electricity and fuel so mixed driving is easier to understand.
What you can do
- Electric consumption and fuel consumption side by side
- EV-mode distance and electric-versus-fuel energy split
- Fuel price, refuelling history and combined ownership costs
- Hybrid trip patterns, efficiency trends and fuel-use records
Separate the two energy sources
Hybrid summaries track electric kWh and fuel litres instead of forcing both into an EV-only metric. Where supported data is available, the dashboard can show electric consumption, average fuel economy, EV-mode distance and the proportion of travel completed electrically.
Cost settings support electricity and fuel price strategies, and activity history can include both charging and refuelling entries.
Availability depends on the reported vehicle data
PHEV metrics require the vehicle or imported records to expose fuel and electric values. Model detection, market software and DiLink fields vary, so unsupported measurements remain unavailable rather than being guessed.
Frequently asked questions
Does BYD Connect support BYD DM-i and PHEV vehicles?
The app includes hybrid and PHEV statistics, but connected-data completeness varies by model, firmware, account and market.
Can it track petrol and electricity costs separately?
Yes. Hybrid settings support fuel per litre and electricity per kWh, with custom, historical-average and dynamic price strategies.
What happens if fuel data is missing?
Fuel-specific metrics stay unavailable. BYD Connect does not invent fuel use from an EV-only data feed.
