BYD Trip Tracker and Automatic Drive Log
BYD Connect keeps a practical history of your drives instead of limiting you to the car's latest rolling average. Link a supported BYD account and completed drives can appear automatically, including when BYD Connect is closed.
What you can do
- Automatic background drive logging from connected BYD data
- Distance, estimated energy, duration, efficiency and trip cost
- Trip search, filters, sorting, merge, calendar history, records and CSV export
- Saved-place labels, custom tags, recurring routes and GPS maps when available
A useful history, not just a latest-trip number
Review individual drives or step back into daily, monthly and calendar views. Trips can be compared by distance, energy, duration and efficiency, making it easier to identify commutes, short-trip overhead and expensive routes.
Cloud-derived energy is an estimate. BYD Connect uses available state-of-charge changes and your typical efficiency when the vehicle does not report enough detail. The app labels estimated data instead of presenting it as laboratory measurement.
Works across your devices
Your garage, trips, charges and settings sync across the web and supported native apps. In a compatible car browser, QR pairing avoids the Google popup that often fails on in-car browsers.
Frequently asked questions
Does BYD Connect record trips while it is closed?
Yes, after a supported BYD account is linked, the server can sample vehicle data and close drives in the background. Timing and detail depend on the data BYD exposes for that vehicle and market.
Is trip energy exact?
Not always. Energy may be estimated from state-of-charge change or distance multiplied by typical efficiency, and very short drives can be less precise.
Do I need an OBD dongle?
No OBD dongle is required for the connected BYD workflow. Available data depends on the linked account and vehicle capabilities.
