BYD Vehicle Location, Saved Places and Route Context
Turn a map pin into useful ownership context. BYD Connect can show the vehicle's reported location, remember places you care about and apply those labels to trips and charging history.

The car location, not your phone location
Places use the coordinates reported for the linked vehicle. Location sharing must be enabled in the official BYD account, and the map shows when data is unavailable rather than silently substituting the phone's position.
A radius around each saved place allows nearby parking positions to count as the same destination. Existing history can be reprocessed so recurring trips become easier to recognize.
Charging context without publishing home rates
Browse nearby public charger reference pins, save a charger you use and remember the price paid there. Home electricity rates remain private, while aggregate public charger prices can be used as a reference for future sessions.
A saved Home place can also hold an optional weekday climate-preconditioning routine. It only runs when the reported car position is at Home and requires a saved command PIN.
Frequently asked questions
Does BYD Connect track my phone?
No. The Places feature uses the vehicle location reported by BYD, not the phone's GPS.
Why is the vehicle location missing?
Location sharing may be disabled, the vehicle may be asleep, or the account and model may not expose coordinates.
Are my Home and Work electricity rates public?
No. Personal place and home-rate data remain associated with your account.
