LFP batteries are durable, but their flat voltage curve makes state-of-charge estimation difficult through much of the usable range. That is why calibration behaviour and battery degradation are easy to confuse.

What a full charge can and cannot prove
Reaching a full charge can give the battery-management system a top reference and allow cell balancing. It may correct a displayed percentage or range estimate, but it does not restore lost battery chemistry and one unusual reading does not prove degradation.
Charging guidance differs by model and market. Use the current owner manual as the authority, avoid leaving the car unnecessarily full for long storage, and treat an app reminder as context rather than a universal rule.
How to judge a State of Health estimate
A useful empirical estimate needs enough energy across a meaningful state-of-charge change and must account for charging losses. Small sessions, interrupted charges and coarse percentage reporting create noise. Trends across several good samples matter more than one result.
BYD Connect labels manual, model-based and empirical SoH values separately and shows the sample basis. A dealer or battery diagnostic remains the right next step when the car reports a fault or range changes abruptly.

Does charging to 100% repair battery degradation?
No. It can help BMS calibration and balancing, but it does not reverse chemical ageing.
Why did the displayed range change after calibration?
The BMS may have updated its estimate after seeing a top reference; that change is not automatically a physical capacity change.
Is an app SoH value official?
No. Treat connected-data SoH as an estimate and use professional diagnostics for warranty or safety decisions.
