Connect your BYD to A Better Routeplanner with an optional Generic Live Data token. BYD Connect sends available vehicle telemetry as fresh DiLink samples arrive, including while the app is closed.

How BYD-to-ABRP sync works
Create or copy a Generic Live Data token in A Better Routeplanner, then paste it into BYD Connect settings for the linked vehicle. BYD Connect encrypts the saved token and uses it only to send telemetry to ABRP's live-data endpoint.
When connected vehicle samples arrive, BYD Connect can forward available data to ABRP in the background. Update frequency and freshness depend on the vehicle being online, BYD's connected service and ABRP accepting the token and telemetry.
What data can be sent
Supported fields include battery State of Charge, GPS position, estimated battery range, speed, odometer, charging and parked state, outside and cabin temperatures, climate setpoint, and available tyre pressures. Missing vehicle fields are omitted rather than invented.
ABRP uses live data for its own route and charging calculations. BYD Connect is independent of both BYD Auto and A Better Routeplanner, and availability can vary by model, market, account and third-party service status.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an ABRP account?
Yes. You need an A Better Routeplanner account and a Generic Live Data token from the vehicle connection settings in ABRP.
Does ABRP sync work while BYD Connect is closed?
It can. If background BYD sampling is configured and fresh vehicle data is available, the server can continue forwarding supported telemetry without the browser being open.
Can I disconnect ABRP?
Yes. Remove the token in BYD Connect settings. A rejected token is also paused until you replace it.
